We spend time researching ingredients, testing products, refining formulas, and selecting materials we feel good about using in our own homes.
The goal has never been to use the cheapest option available.

Harbor Morning Co. products are made with carefully selected ingredients that we have taken time to research, compare, and understand.
Not every ingredient appears in every product, but across our candles, balms, soaps, wax melts, reed diffusers, and body-style products, we choose materials that support quality, safety, texture, scent performance, and a better customer experience.
🌱 Soy Wax
Our candle collections use a 100% soy wax that is paraffin-free, plant-based, and designed for smooth container candles with strong scent performance.
Soy wax helps create the clean, creamy look we love in Harbor Morning candles while supporting the coastal, simple, thoughtfully made feel of the brand.
🕯️ CandleScience Fragrance Oils
We use thoughtfully selected CandleScience fragrance oils and pay close attention to their CleanScents® standards, IFRA guidance, and product-use recommendations.
CandleScience fragrance oils are vegan, cruelty-free, formulated without phthalates, and formulated without ingredients found on California Proposition 65 lists.
We do not claim every fragrance is “all natural” or “toxin-free,” because we believe customers deserve honest wording, not trendy marketing fluff.
🧈 Shea Butter
Our raw African shea butter is 100% pure, unrefined, Grade A shea butter with no additives or preservatives.
It brings a rich, traditional, skin-conditioning feel to select Harbor Morning body-style products, balms, salves, lotions, soaps, and related formulas.
🌿 Jojoba Oil
We use 100% pure jojoba oil in select body-style products.
Jojoba oil is lightweight, smooth, plant-based, and known for giving products a softer, more nourishing feel without feeling overly heavy.
🐝 Beeswax
Our white beeswax pastilles are cosmetic grade, triple-filtered, and 100% natural beeswax.
We use beeswax in select Harbor Morning candles, balms, salves, lotions, and body-style products to add structure, firmness, and a classic handcrafted feel.
🌾 Arrowroot Powder
Our arrowroot powder is organic, plant-based, gluten free, non-GMO, vegan, and sourced from Maranta arundinacea.
In Harbor Morning body-style products, arrowroot helps improve texture, smoothness, and the overall feel on the skin while helping reduce a heavy or greasy finish.
🐄 Tallow
In select heritage-style products, we use tallow as a traditional, simple ingredient known for its rich feel and classic old-world character.
Our tallow-based products are part of the Harbor Morning Trading Post Collection— products inspired by heritage, usefulness, simplicity, and ingredients that feel time-tested rather than trendy.
When we use tallow, we want customers to understand exactly what they are getting: a traditional ingredient chosen for richness, structure, and that rugged heritage feel.
We believe ingredient transparency matters. If something is natural, we’ll say it. If something is fragrance-based, we’ll explain it honestly. No scare tactics. No mystery. Just better information.
